Environmental charity set up to promote awareness of the 3R’s Contact: Kay Ford (Sales and Marketing) Address: c/o Waterford Recycling Centre, Waterford Road, Forres IV36 3TN Phone number: 01309 676056 E-mail address: wastebusters@globalnet.co.uk Web address: www.moraywastebusters.org
Moray Waste Busters started in 2001 as a project promoting home composting and we have developed over the years to become a well-established local amenity. Our reuse-reclaim facility (“The Works”) is very popular with members of the local community and those further afield. We take in donations of most household goods apart from clothing or electrical items. These are sold to the public at a reasonable price and the money is used to continue our work in promoting awareness of green issues. We produce a range of woodwork items such as bird boxes and dog kennels made from recycled timber and we also offer training opportunities for disadvantaged young adults.
Our Waterford site is undergoing a major overhaul to provide bigger and better facilities which will enable us to keep spreading the “3R’s” message for years to come.
Products or Services we Sell · Good quality used household and garden items; delivery and collection available for a small fee; · A range of woodwork products (eg: bird boxes, dog kennels) made on our site from recycled timber · Educational visits for schools and other groups · Work placements for disadvantaged young adults
Help Wanted · Volunteers welcome to help in “The Works” or around the site · Household and garden items required in good condition · Any cash donations towards our site development gratefully received
