Craighurst’s may appear to most customers to be like many a High Street Restaurant and Café up and down Scotland. A warm welcome, a well cooked meal and good value for money.   However, Craighurst’s is not only different its quite special as well – Craighurst’s is a social enterprise and an SQA training centre.  An important and unique feature of Craighurst’s is the commitment to provide local training and employment opportunities. In particular, the project supports young people who show an aptitude and desire to succeed in the hospitality sector in Scotland.   To this aim Craighurst’s as achieved an SQA Centre accreditation.  That means qualifications can be gained by young people during their employment. Both service and practical cookery are on offer.

Our staff are fully committed to successfully achieving the highest standards in food preparation together with customer service, utilising wherever possible local suppliers, products and Fair Trade
