Loft Youth Project / Loft Trading Loft Trading is wholly owned trading subsidiary of The Loft Youth Project which operates Craighursts a café/restaurant which aims to provide work and training opportunities for young people and a ‘Cook School’ which is currently being developed. Any future profits will be donated back to the Loft Youth Project which itself earns income through hall rentals and service level agreements / contracts with Public Bodies and organisations such as Project Scotland. An important and unique feature of Craighurst’s is the commitment to provide local training and employment opportunities. In particular, the project supports young people who show an aptitude and desire to succeed in the hospitality sector in Scotland. To this aim Craighurst’s as achieved an SQA Centre accreditation. That means qualifications can be gained by young people during their employment. Both service and practical cookery are on offer.
