Public Services (Social Value) Bill passed

MP Chris White’s Private Members bill – the Public Services (Social Value) has passed through the House of Lords without amendments. The bill, which will now become law asks public bodies to consider how they might use public service contracts to improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of our communities.

It seems that now really is a time for social value. With members of The SROI Network in 34 countries worldwide, over 20 of which were represented at the SROI Network International Conference in Potsdam last month, and an increasing recognition of the importance of social value, it has never been more crucial to understand, manage and communicate the social value that your work or organisation creates.
